Sixth Form Taster Day

Last term, Year 11 students had the opportunity to experience the courses available at Salford City Academy Sixth Form during a taster day. They also received information, advice and guidance on their future following their results in the summer.

Each student made an application through the CAP (Common Application Process), a website which allows students to search all courses, providers and apprenticeships in Greater Manchester. They are now awaiting interview offers.

Martin said: "I got to find out what the lessons are like in the Sixth Form and how the days run over here."

Marilyn Oliver, Director of Sixth Form said: "The day really highlights the reality of signing up for college and results day, and the reality of making life-changing decisions!"

MOCK RESULTS

The day ended with students receiving their mock results.

Rachel said: "Getting the results was a bit scary because it felt really real!"

Tom said: "Today has helped me prepare more for Sixth Form, I know what I have to do now."
