Best Ever GCSE Results

Students and staff at Salford City Academy are celebrating their best ever GCSE results.  50% of students have gained five or more A*-C grades including English and maths.  Last year, the equivalent figure was 34%.

Kathy August, Deputy Chief Executive of the United Learning Trust, which sponsors the academy, said:

"These are very strong results and I would like to congratulate all the students on their achievements today.  Students and staff have worked very hard all year to achieve this and it demonstrates the potential for Salford City Academy to become an outstanding school."
