Science Department

The Science Department is home to dynamic team of teachers who are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to deliver the curriculum.  We want our pupils to be successful and achieve their best in a caring, respectful but challenging environment. 

We work collaboratively as a team and through our “Lead Department” role we work with other Salford Schools to share good practice to ensure the very best for our pupils. At Key Stage 3 we use our own schemes of work and have an excellent range of resources. 

At Key Stage 4, all pupils are entered for AQA Double Award Modular Science, again from our own schemes of work. 

In Year 7 all students have the chance to visit Chester Zoo so they can investigate a variety of animals.  We also run a Science club that is open to pupils in Key Stage 3 one lunchtime a week.  Gifted and Talented students participate in a challenge and compete against other Salford schools.
