MATHLETICS CLUB

Miss Jenkinson in our Maths department has introduced into the Academy a Mathletics Club to help pupils improve their basic Numeracy skills. 

This club is held every morning before school from 7.30am and for the last 30 minutes of each lunchtime for any pupil of any ability. 

The club is an excellent use of time for those pupils who arrive at school early each morning and is a great way to wake up the brain ready for the school day. 

We soleley use Nintendo DSi's in the club and pupils have a choice of games to choose from, all related to Mathematics skills such as Big Brain Academy. 

So far, we have had a high number of pupils attend and pupils that now attend regular and we hope to see an improvement in their Numeracy skills over the following weeks.
