ICT Reward Trip to Jaguar Landrover - 31st March 2010

Internal Filler

The ICT department arranged an Applied Learning reward trip for 12 year 7 pupils to the Jaguar/Land rover education centre in Liverpool. Pupils were selected due to their excellent progress and attainment in ICT.

On the visit pupils got to see inside the manufacturing plant and meet the employees, they had the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the 'world of work' and make connections between what they learn in classroom and real life business and manufacturing practice.

We felt the pupils really benefited from seeing the manufacturing process first hand and all that is involved in creating a car from a sheet of metal right through to the finished product at car dispatch. The feedback from the pupils was an excellent day enjoyed by all. Those invited were as follows Grace Muzige, Connor Taylor, Nathan Steward, Reece Healey, Sam Lambie, Byan Abu Dakka, Nathan Crick, Matthew Collentine, Teeya Memory, Natasha Whitworth, Atteager Johnson, Jack Harris, Rachel Stevens and Rebeeca Clarke.
