SCA Football Coaches at Seedley Park Primary School - December 2009

After realising their passion for football, three of Salford City Academy’s Sixth Form students decided to use their skills in Football Coaching to spread their enthusiasm amongst Primary School children, in an after school football club.

Sixth Form students Kyle Macdonald, Aaron Richardson and Scott Sheridan came up with the idea of an after school club a few months ago and decided to broach the subject with Sixth Form Support Officer and Enrichment Coordinator, Charlotte Bradshaw. She was able to contact Seedley Primary School, Salford, on behalf of the boys and arrange it for them.

The enthusiastic trio have been attending Seedley Primary to provide both a PE lesson for Year 5’s and an after school club for all pupils. They try to include a large ‘fun element’ to keep the children engaged and interested but gradually get to develop their footballing skills.
