Supporters to Reporters

Pupils have enjoyed success on a project which used their passion for football to inspire and improve literacy skills.

Miss McFarland, SENCo, and Mr Davies, Subject Leader PE, conducted the six week project featuring activities to improve reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Activities included recording a personal commentary to a section of a football match as well as writing a match report for a newspaper.

The project proved to be highly successful with pupil assessments indicating excellent progress made by each and every pupil.

Luke Warburton was the overall winner by making the greatest academic progress. He won two tickets to a Manchester United match. All the boys received a Manchester United football and stationery set.
