Tenner Tycoons
Peter Jones, Enterprise UK, invites schools to take part in a national enterprise challenge.
The Dragon Den's star gave students a £10 loan in March and challenged them to make as much profit and social impact as possible. Over 40 students were involved in projects:
- Year 11 Hairdressing - shampoo at PZ Cussons
- Year 10 Hospitality - Mothering Sunday themed products including chocolates, cakes and biscuits
- Year 8 - Picture frames, pot plants, and cakes.
All £200 raised will be put back into Salford City Academy community projects. However, the winning team is going to be treated to a trip to Slattery's for a Chocolate Experience!
The winning teams were:
- 1st -Yr 11 Hair & Beauty - Ellie Ryan, Abbie Page, Chantelle Wright, Amy Smith, Cerise Johnson, Amy Green
- 2nd - Yr 10 Hospitality - Declan Robson, Leon Price, Alisha Eves, Alex Cowlishaw
Julie Larkinson, Director of Business and Enterprise said:
