Emmy Rhodes Wins E-Safety Competition

Internal Filler Emmy Rhodes, Year 7, has been crowned the winner of the ‘Design-a-Desktop' competition.

As part of E-Safety Week, which took place earlier this year, the ICT Department launched a ‘Design a Desktop' competition.  Students were asked to design computer desktop screens which promoted messages about internet safety.

Students came up with brilliant designs all of which represented the E-Safety campaign message: "It's more than just a game, it's your life". This is all about staying safe when you are online - whether you are playing games, social networking or simply browsing the internet.

Emmy Rhode's desktop design was judged by Miss Bailey, ICT Subject Leader, and Mrs Cawood, Assistant Principal, to have the strongest message about internet safety.

Congratulations to Emmy as well Charlotte Odell, Year 8, who came second and Eleanor Siddall, Year 7 who came third.  Each of the winners received Trafford Centre vouchers: £40 for 1st place, £20 for 2nd place and £10 for 3rd place. The winning posters along with other entries are displayed in the ICT corridor so please come and take a look.
