New Cyber Mentors
A group of students have graduated from a 2 day training course as Cyber Mentors. The 21 Year 8 and 9 students can now help and support those in school who are being bullied, feeling troubled or are being targeted on or offline.
Our CyberMentors are here to listen either face-to-face or online. They now wear distinctive Cyber Mentor blue badges and have given presentations to mentor groups.
This is a national scheme and students can also access help via www.cybermentors.org.uk
If students want to talk about a problem with bullying, they can just drop a Cyber Mentor a message (click on Cyber Mentors Online), or talk to them privately in the chat room. There are also counsellors available for anything really serious and we would also encourage students to talk to parents or teachers.
The Cyber Mentors meet approximately every 3 weeks in F24; look out for dates being advertised. For more information or if you want to contact a Cyber Mentor in school, please see Mrs Daniels, Year 7 Leader.
