Brandon, Thai Boxing Champion
On Sunday 28 November, Brandon, Year 8, won the North West Thai Boxing Champion title.
The junior competition held in Farnworth was for 5 to 16 year olds from North West clubs from Manchester to as far as Scotland.
Brandon was amongst five fighters from his club. Three won titles, one drew and only one lost - it was a fantastic day for his club.
Brandon said: "I did the fight for my Gran who died recently. It would have made her really proud."
Brandon has been a member of the Luukist Thai Boxing Club in Little Hulton for two and a half years. He joined the club after his cousin joined and he decided it was something he'd like to try.
Brandon said: "It keeps you healthy and there are lots of different styles to learn. It doesn't hurt to fight; there's more upset if you lose!"
