7LKEB's Save the Children Calendar

As a Save the Children school partner, Salford City Academy has been challenged to raise £2,000 for the Bangladesh appeal. 

In response, 7LKEB rose to the challenge and produce a charity  calendar, which raised £175!

As well as a fundraising project, mentor and ICT Subject Leader Karen Bailey encouraged the Year 7s' enterprise skills.

Karen Bailey said: "The students improved on their design and ICT skills, as well as enterprise skills in finance and market research."

Serena Bevan said: "We wanted to raise as much money as possible so we sent out a questionnaire to find out who would be interested and how much they would pay."

Joyce Teifouet said: "I designed December and also a poster to advertise the calendar and Save the Children around school."
