Chloe Ash, Year 8, is a Salford Star
Chloe has recently played football for Salford in the Champion's Challenge in partnership with the Manchester United Foundation.
In February, Chloe discovered she had been selected to represent Salford in the Champion's Challenge Manchester Youth Games following a trial. Miss Milner accompanied four SCA pupils to the session which took place at the Cliff, Manchester United's training ground.
Chloe said "It felt great because I'd been picked by the Manchester United Foundation to represent Salford!"
She added "It was raining the whole day of the games, but I played six matches - four as mid-field and two in defence. We played really well but unfortunately we didn't win the event."
Chloe received a certificate as recognition of her high standards in the competition.
The Champion's Challenge sees boroughs competing to be crowned the annual champion in a variety of sports including rugby and netball. The inaugural event took place on 20th March at the Wright Robinson Sports College in Manchester where the first borough champions were crowned.
Chloe said "I was really glad to have this opportunity. When I was leaving they told my dad about training sessions on Saturdays at the Cliff. There's going to be a trial for the Manchester United Foundation in a few months and they told my dad I should definitely go for it."
