Catering

Eurest manage the catering at Salford City Academy and their aim is to provide Healthy Foods for Healthy Minds to help the students perform both academically and physically at their best.

SERVICES PROVIDED

1. A Breakfast service from 8.00 am until 8.35 am for those students who do not manage to have breakfast before they leave home.  There will be toast, hot sandwiches, toasted teacakes, fresh fruit and hot and chilled drinks.
   
   This is a cash only service.
   
2. A mid morning break from 11.00 am until 11.15 am with energy rich snacks and more brain food.
   
   This is a cash only service.
   
3. Lunch service will be provided from 1.15 pm until 2.00 pm with an offer of homemade meals, healthy options, sandwiches on a healthy choice of breads.

ABOUT THE MENUS

Eurest produce freshly cooked food daily from fresh produce which includes fruit and vegetables.

Menus are clearly displayed in the academy for everyone to view and can be requested from the academy office should you wish a copy.

THE TYPE OF FOOD ON THE MENUS

There are choices of traditional main meals and exciting world style dishes, all served with rice, pasta, fresh vegetables.

Our menus are revised each term to show children seasonal foods available at their best.

We will offer an assortment of freshly made 'Baguette' style sandwiches, jacket potatoes, packed lunch and grab bags, home baking and delicious ideas to tempt pupils to EAT 5 A DAY.

OTHER EVENTS

Themed Events will take place to add interest, such as Jamie Oliver style menus and menus to encourage and educate about foods and diets.

Promotions to get pupils involved in Healthy Eating and help them make the right choices.

SPECIAL DIETS

If a child has a special dietary requirement please let us know.

To help those with allergies and dietary needs we are going to operate a clear labelling policy to help students make choices.
